The projector comes with a series of original films with German labels and serial numbers, with charming titles such as The new chauffeur or Rome. The set is lovely. The projector is not working, but it is surely a very decorative piece.Pathé Baby was a home film system launched by Pathé Frères in 1922. It was the first projector for 9,5 mm films and was very popular in all the world during the following decades. Pathé is the mother company of one of the most powerful cinema producers in America: in 1923 changed its name to Pathé Exchange (only in the USA) and in 1931 was definitely named as RKO Pictures. In the first half of the 20th century the French company became so important that nearly the 60 per cent of all films were shot with Pathé equipment. This nice projector boasts a stylized and attractive design. It is made of black-lacquered iron; it is in good condition and keeps some original pieces such as the lens, the silvery metal crank and the screws and gears. There is a silver medallion attached to one of its sides, with the name and logo of the French brand: a rooster singing. We can also see the serial number 134459 and the model (PB-EX) engraved in the metal. This striking Pathé Baby projector is undoubtedly bound to become the starring piece of any living room or study.Measurements: Width: 260 mm.
