Camera Leica M3, a camera that shook these devices design in the middle of the 20th century thanks to its innovations, many of which are still included in current cameras. This Leica M3 dates from 1958 and has serial number 922914, well preserved and working. It comes with an original Leica photometer.Leica M3 cameras were designed and produced by German company Ernst Leitz GmbJ, located in Wetzlar. The name Leica is an acronym of Leitz Camera. The M corresponds to the German word Meßsucher that means rangefinder; M models were the first Leica ones that included this device. The Leica M was produced from 1954 to 1966, and among other new features they included a window with both the viewfinder and the rangefinder. It was also the first camera with bayonet lens mount, a system that substituted the old screw mount and that has not been changed for more than fifty years due to its efficiency.This particular camera bears a great quality lens, in perfect condition and in use. It is a Summarit M 50 / 1.5 lens made in 1955 and with serial number 133166. This model was introduced in 1949 in Leica screw mount; in 1969, a M bayonet mount version was added. Summarit is a new version of Leica's Xenon lens which was first released in 1936. The firm stopped manufacturing Summarit lenses in 1960.This iconic camera, in wonderful condition, is perfect to take the best photographs.
