This camera is a Leica MD Post, a very special model designed for Postal Offices. It is a rare and interesting camera that has survived to our days in good condition and optimal working order. It was made in 1960's and its serial number is 987552. Though the item shows some slight and purely aesthetical signs of wear, it keeps all its original interest and can be used to take photographs. The Leica MD Post is a version of the most popular and famous Leica series: the M series. This camera evolved from the Leica M1 that included already the famous bayonet lens mount that the firm developed (also known as M mount). In 1963 this model was replaced by the Leica MD, actually a simplified M2 as the viewfinder had been removed. Specifically designed for technical, industrial and scientific uses. Later this model was substituted by the Leica Mda. The piece we can see in these images is sober and elegant, and is quite well preserved. This is undoubtedly a very special piece, a highly original item perfect to complete an ambitious collection of vintage cameras.Condition: The camera has some scratches on the front and a small hit on the right side, however, is purely cosmetic, as the camera seems to be working perfectly. The lens appears with some dust in the photos, but is outside dust. At first glance, the lens looks clean, without scratches and without fungus. In general, the condition is 7 out of 10.This Leica MD is a real find for any lover of photography.
