This vintage camera made from the first half of the 20th century is a Leica IIIa made in 1936-37. It is a mythical model, one of the most prestigious and widely sold cameras of all times.As we can see in the images, this camera is in quite good condition. It is a fully funcional item and its owner will be able to take the best photographs with it. As stated before, the camera comes with two vintage lenses.The lot contains:- Leica IIIa camera, from 1936-37, Serial number 218240 - Elmar 9 cm / 4 with screw mount. 1939. Serial Number: 519849. - Summar F: 5 cm / 1:2. 1933. Serial number: 167183. - Original Leica filter, in perfect condition. - Original Leica lens capThe Leica IIIa was produced by German optical material manufacturer Ernst Leitz GmbH from Wetzlar, and the one that we can see in these images has survived to our days in good condition and in working order. We can see the famous brand logo and the companys name engraved in the silvery metal, just on top of the camera, together with serial number 218240. The camera comes with two vintage lenses, made by the same manufacturer and perfect to be used with it.Leica IIIa cameras were launched in 1933 and they were manufactured in parallel with the Leica II series. Though it was a wonderful design that is still appreciated by many professional photographers all over the world, this series evolved and with the trace of time new models were developed: Leica IIIb, IIIc and so on.
