This attractive vintage camera is a Leica IIIf, a small and compact model that was one of the most popular and reliable cameras of the 20th century. The Leica IIIf was so popular that after being put in the market it was in backorder for the first two years, even being a quite expensive camera. This particular article dates from 1952-53 and was manufactured in Germany by company Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, a name that is engraved at the top of the camera. It is in excellent condition and working order, and comes with its original real leather sleeve.The Leica IIIf was an evolution from the Leica IIId and was launched in 1950. It is a much smaller and lighter model than the previous cameras, something that turns it into an article much easier to carry and use. The Leica IIIf provides the same performance than other M-series cameras and can take equally good photographs but in a more comfortable and better way.
