Amazing Leica IIIc camera in excellent condition and good working order. This camera was made in Germany in 1951.52 by Ernst Leitz Wetlzar, as we can see engraved at the top of the article. It is made of silvery aluminum with black faux-leather covered body and chromed brass top. The camera is in very good condition and only shows very slight signs of its many years of use. These details do not interfere at all in this articles beauty and good working order. The Leica IIIc is an evolution of the Leica IIIb that includes interesting improvements. The Leica IIIc is a 35 mm rangefinder camera launched by the company in 1940. Curiously enough, some Leica IIIc cameras made during World War II had grey paint finish due to the lack of chrome during the war. Around 131,000 units were produced until 1951. The Leica IIIc has significant changes when compared to the Leica IIIb, such as one-piece body, an improved internal mechanism, a larger release button and a new exposure counter mechanism. It is also 3mm longer than the previous designs. This particular camera bears the serial number 494843 clearly engraved and painted black at the top of the piece. We can also see the manufacturers name and the elegant Leica signature. All the component parts work fluidly and efficiently, letting the user take the best photographs with total precision. The camera mounts an original Summar f=5 cm 1:2 lens with serial number Nº 735460. The article works well and its working has been checked and tested. Its precision and proved quality turn this Leica IIIC camera into a piece that will delight the most demanding photographer.
