This nostalgic camera is a 1A Kodak Junior, a rare model that was only produced for a few months. The camera was made in 1915; the 1A Kodak Junior was launched in April 2014. Its production ceased in 1927. It is in good condition and works fine; besides, it comes with a shutter cord and its original leather case very well preserved. After the Kodak Autographic System was launched in 1914 (the system let the photographer print the photographs title and date in the film), any owner of a 1A Kodak Junior camera could adapt it to the new system by including an autographic back that could be adjusted to the camera`s case. There was also a No 1A Kodak Junior produced for the larger 116 film size. The camera that we can see in the images is the original model, smaller and more compact. It is well preserved but some parts show signs of the trace of time and use. Otherwise this is logical, as we must consider that this piece is one hundred years old. The camera is composed of a black faux-leather-covered case and a front with the folding leather bellows. At the bellows' front end we can see the objective; it bears some beautiful inscriptions engraved in the metal parts, such as the manufacturer companys name (EASTMAN KODAK Co.), the patent and another relevant data. Inside the rear lid we can see an inscription with the models and the manufacturers names, the city where the factory was located and the patent numbers. On the other hand, the cable release that comes with the camera shows the inscription GITZO FRANCE embossed in the metal button. As charming as beautiful, this 1A Kodak Junior camera is an indispensable piece for any collector of ancient cameras. Measurements (Open): Depth: 6.6 in / 17 cm. Height: 4.7 in / 12 cm.
