This amazing piece is a Pathé cinema projector in very good condition, customized and automated by hand in order to improve its performance. This is a collectors item, rare and special, used to project films in Spanish villages in the 1930s-40s. It seems to have belonged to a projectionist who used it to show films in different Catalonian villages. The projector is very well preserved, including the pieces that were removed to adapt it to its commercial function. It comes in a custom-made wooden box that includes an electrical panel with two lovely antique switches. The projector is gorgeous and comes with all kind of devices, both original and included later. It is not in working order, being a historic piece bound to become part of a good collection of cinema-related antiques. These projectors were carried from one place of the Spanish geography to another in order to show films of all types, so the villagers could enjoy them. There is a great Spanish film, El Viaje a Ninguna Parte (A Travel to Nowhere, 1986), where this activity is shown as opposed to the job performed by the ancient nomadic theatre companies.
