Stylized antique bellows camera with its original tripod, made in the late 19th century (circa 1890) and in excellent condition. Both the camera and the tripod preserve all their original component parts and remain in perfect working order. The two pieces are manufactured with solid mahogany wooden pieces in different shades of red and gold; the combination of shades and the intrinsic beauty of the noble wood create an extremely decorative set. The camera preserves the original brass lens in very good condition. The objective bears the engraved inscription Schneider Gelbfilter B, and the serial number Nº 19211.. The brass still keeps the original protecting lacquer which provides it with a fine antique patina. The rest of the metalwork is also made of brass, with different pieces that connect the wooden planks and make it possible to operate the camera. The brass is quite well preserved and shows no traces of rust or wear. The same can be said about the wooden structure, protected by a lovely satin finish that enhances its beauty. Inside the camera remains the bellows, in great condition and perfect working order. The rear piece still preserves the original smoked-glass plate. On the other hand, the tripod is also a remarkable piece: fully made of mahogany wood and brass, it is composed of three foldable legs. The legs are thin and light, but at the same time they create a stable base for the camera to be comfortably used. Every lover of photography and antiques will recognize an exclusive item in this bellows camera, a piece that can still be used to take photographs. Measurements: Height: 49.2 in / 125 cm.
