Fine antique bellows camera made of light-colored solid mahogany wood in the early 20th century (circa 1900). The camera boasts a simple and elegant design that has survived to our days in excellent condition. The mechanical pieces work fine and are all original from the period except for the rear translucent glass that has been replaced. Otherwise, the camera is complete and and comes with a removable frame for the film. It remains in working order too thought it has not been tested. The cameras box is made of solid mahogany wooden pieces, all of them very well preserved. Some pieces are assembled and connected with fine and delicate dovetail joints, as sturdy as good-looking. The box also mounts some golden brass elements in good condition, with no traces of rust. The bellows condition is especially remarkable: though made of quite a weak material, it very well preserved and can be easily folded and unfolded. The brass lens attached to the front side of the camera is a very interesting piece for its quality, good condition and fine design. The camera can be completely folded in order to reduce its size to the minimum and carry it comfortably. In order to do so, it mounts brass hinges and locks, and a leather handle for its carrying. A witness of the first days of photography, this antique bellows camera is a piece worthy of the best antique lover.
