Fantastic Leica IIIa Camera with Photographic Equipment. Made in Germany in 1937. It is a 100% original piece. Beautiful aesthetically, in silver metal with black leather protector, practically new. Engraved mark on the top: Leica and serial number: 260549. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Elmar f = 5cm 1:3,5 lens no. 358703. It is in perfect condition, both aesthetically and functionally. The chrome plating on the camera is shiny, even in the areas of heaviest wear. The camera body is also impeccable, despite the time elapsed. Attached brown leather case with the brand of the machine in perfect condition, almost like new, in which you can guard, in addition to the camera, the different photographic utensils. Attached are 3 color filters, 3 telephoto lenses of different sizes and 3 film magazines, perfect to take the most varied photographs. Set accompanied by the antique manual, in which you can easily consult the operation. This camera works, although it has not been revised with film. The German photographic camera brand Leica started producing these fantastic devices as early as 1913. The company, first called Ernst Leitz GmbH, was divided into three companies: Leica Camera AG, which produced cameras; Leica Geosystems AG, which produced equipment for geology; and Leica Microsystems GmbH, which produced microscopes. The Leica camera was the first practical 35-millimeter model of photographic camera. The first prototypes were built by Oskar Barnack at E. Leitz Optische Werke, Wetzlar, in 1913. The camera was an immediate success when it was introduced in 1925 in Leipzig, dubbed the Leica I (for LEI-tz CA-mera). The compactness of the camera, and its reliable and excellent lens, made this device a real success. The Leica III was introduced by Leica in 1933, and was produced in parallel with the Leica II series. There were several models of this type: IIIA, IIIb, IIIc, etc. The original Leica III was followed by the IIIA model (1935-1940, 1946-1948). It is a 35 mm rangefinder camera introduced by Leica in 1935 as an improved version of the Leica III, with the addition of a 1/1000s shutter speed. It was a great sales success and approx. 91,000 units were produced. Beautiful camera accompanied by a fantastic equipment for a true nostalgic of photography or as a gift for a very special person.
