Beautiful and evocative French stereoscope, used to display photographic images. Made by Educa brand, these devices were often used in schools for educational purposes. Thanks to its superb conservation, it is possible to see the forty-two retaining plates, each showing twelve photographic images of different views. The glass plates are stored at the base of the instrument, well protected with a wooden door with brass hinge. On the front, the stereoscope retains the metal plate engraved with the name of the firm Educa and the address of the company. Although the metal it is slightly pitted, the inscription can be perfectly read. This detail testifies to the years and use the device, and gives it the special charm of authentic antiques. To handle the stereoscope simply extract a plate of the compartment, put in the wooden frame and into the slot on top. Images can be viewed through the front viewers.
