This spectacular camera Contessa Nettel, made in Germany in 1910, is made of tropical Wood. Its magnificent design is characteristic of the cameras from the beginning of the 20th century, which were used by the first photographers. The camera is in good condition although it does not work, but it is possible to repair it. The beauty of the tropical wood, with its deep and warm orange color, and the attractive details in brass, turn this camera into an antique, attractive and 100% original piece. The camera is rectangular and its front can be opened. The body of the camera can be extended by means of an accordion device. In the rear we find a glass door, which opens to let us reach the objective. The base has a threaded hole, which serves to connect the camera to a tripod. The lens shows the inscription CP Goerz BerlinDagor 1:6,8, F = 16.5 cm, 507 600 (manufacturer, details and number). The wood is in good condition, and it has its original varnish and color. On one side we can see a metal plate with the inscription Photo Haus "Schwaben" - Adolf Simpfendorfer - Stuttgart, Marienstr. 7. This is probably the name and address of the place where the camera was originally purchased. On the upper side we can see the logo with the name of the brand, Contessa Nettel, and we also know the serial number of the camera: S 6787.
