Striking set of Leica photo equipment composed of two antique and complete cameras in working order and a wide array of accessories. The set, which very probably belonged once to a professional photographer, dates from 1938 and was made in Germany. It comes in its original case, a gorgeous reddish-brown leather case in wonderful condition. The lock is in perfect operation. The set is complete and includes basic accessories to take professional photos: objectives, hoods, viewers, filters, chargers It is a really spectacular set of photo equipment with the high quality provided by the famous German brand. The equipment includes the following articles: 1 Leica IIIa camera from 1938, with serial number 287108, complete and working. 1 Leica III camera from 1938, with serial number 297328, complete and working. 3 interchangeable objectives: 1 Leitz Elmar f=5 cms 1:3,5 (serial number 428430), 1 Leitz Elmar f=9 cms 1:4 (serial number 758142) y 1 Leitz Hektor f=13,5 cms 1: 4,5 Sharkskin (serial number 656479). This last objective, according to collectiblend.com, is valued at around 1000 dollars on its own. Accessories: several filters, 2 hoods (one of them foldable and somewhat difficult to fix), 3 35-mm film chargers in their sleeves (2 of them can be used; the third is missing a part), a stand with 4 bolt-on legs (probably for macro photography), 1 Leitz FOKOS and two Leitz VIOOH universal viewers range meter. One of the viewers is much older than the other. Both the cameras and the accessories are quite well preserved, but the cameras have not been tested with film. It is very possible that after a thorough professional cleaning and tuning, they can be perfectly used to take wonderful photographs.
