Excellent vintage Rolleiflex 3.5 F model 3 camera made in Germany in 1969. The camera, a real icon in the history of photography, remains in perfect condition and looks almost like new. It works really fine though it has not been tested with film. The lenses are quite well preserved; they show some traces of dust, on the focus lens only, but there is no signs of fungi. Though this is a collection item bound to be exhibited, it could be used to take photographs too, the user would only need to have it cleaned by a professional, since the camera is in perfect state of use, including the photometer. Aesthetically the camera is practically flawless, with no signs of the trace of time or worn parts caused by the use. Rolleiflex cameras are renowned for their quality. They were produced by the German Rollei company, founded by Paul Franke and Reinhold Heidecke in 1920. The first model was launched in 1928. Great photography and photojournalism masters such as Richard Avedon or Robert Capa used Rolleiflex cameras to take their immortal photographs. The model that we can see in the images mounts two lenses: the top one with serial number 4114139 is used for focusing, while the bottom lens (a Carl Zeiss Panar 1:3,5 f=75mm model with serial number 4098638) takes the photographs. Under this objective we can see the manufacturers name, Franke & Heidecke. At the top of the camera, just over the ROLLEIFLEX brand name we find the model 3,5 F and the cameras serial number, 2295699, which makes it possible to date it in the late 1960s. The leather sleeve is the original one and is also in wonderful condition and preserves the carrying strap and the lid. It only shows a tiny unpick in one of the seams, an insignificant detail that does not interfere with the outstanding condition of this exceptional camera. This excellent vintage Rolleiflex 3.5 F model 3 camera will stand out in the best collection for its quality and prestige.
