If you already know what a stereoscope is, it needs no introduction but if you have never looked through one you don't know what you are missing. This technology dates back to the 19th century, and is used to view photographs in 3D. Yes, in 3D, just like in the movies. The effect is amazing. The figures come out of the photos and you can almost touch them. This particular device is in magnificent condition. Few people know that Underwood, the typewriter guy, made other things, like these optical devices. Fantastic and very complete lot.
