Rolleiflex 3,5 camera made in Germany in 1914. This camera is in excellent condition and works very well, though it has not been used with film yet. With its classic style and sober elegance, this vintage camera is a real icon of 20th century photography. The camera comes with is original dark brown leather case, which has a small glass window at the rear. This window lets the user read the information printed on the metal plate attached to the cameras back. The information indicates the distance needed to take different photographs. At the cameras top we can see the name of the brand, in embossed capital letters. Just over this inscription there is a small number, probably the serial one: 1163249. Between the front lenses we can see an inscription: COMPUR RAPID, and under the bottom one, the name of the manufacturer company: FRANKE & HEIDECKE BRAUNSCHWEIG. The Tessar objective was made by Carl Zeiss Jenna brand and its serial number is 3299993. The lens has a 1:3,5 magnification and a focus F=7,5. Every piece of this camera is original and they are all in very good condition, boasting a silvery and polished finish. The cameras case also bears the name Rolleiflex stamped on the leather, just at the front part. Many high quality cameras were commercialized under the name Rolleiflex, and all of them were produced by Franke & Heidecke, a German company founded in 1920 by Paul Franke y Reinhold Heidecke. Later, the company was known as Rollei-Werk. The first Rolleiflex camera was presented in 1928: the Rolleiflex Twin Lens Reflex camera. This model became a legend and was the cornerstone which let the company establish its later fame and glory. Measurements: 85 cm width x 210 cm height.
