Elegant vintage Rolleiflex 3,5A camera. Rolleiflex cameras are a real legend in the field of photography, and their attractive design is just as good as its excellent performance. This camera was made in 1951 by Franke&Heidecke manufacturing company, and its good condition joins to the fact that it comes with its original leather case. The camera is in working order though it has not been checked with film yet. Made of silvery metal and covered by black material simulating leather, this beautiful camera keeps all its original parts in perfect condition. At the top of the front side we can see the brand name: ROLLEIFLEX; and just over it, the cameras serial number: 1410153. Under the upper lens rest this inscription: SYNCHRO-COMPUR; this objective bears the serial number 642280. The bottom lens is a Tessa objective made by Zeiss-Opton brand, with serial number 1067707, with 1:3,5 magnification and focus f=75 mm. Under this piece we can see the name of the company, Franke & Heidecke, and the city where the factory was located, Braunschweig. At the rear, there is a metal plate attached to the camera where we can read instructions about the recommended distances to take different photographs. Rolleiflex was the name of a great number of high quality cameras which were launched in the 1920s by Franke & Heidecke. This company was founded in 1920 by R. Heidecke and P. Franke. In 1928 the company launched the first Rolleiflex camera: the Rolleiflex Twin Lens camera. After its great success, the firm kept on producing Rolleiflex cameras which obtained great popularity and prestige.
