Vintage domestic projector for 35 mm film, made in Germany in 1920. This beautiful piece is in great condition and perfect working order. The device must be operated by hand: to project the films the user must turn the crank which makes the reel slide in front of the light. This light was originally emitted by an oil lamp, though the projector comes with an electrical bulb with its wire and plug which can be used to operate the device. The upper chimney in which the bulb is inserted was originally designed to let out the smoke and heat generated by the oil lamp, which was put into the projector through the side door. This curious and attractive article is made of black iron, with some pieces made of black-lacquered iron foil. It has survived to our days preserving all its original beauty and functionality, and nowadays it can still delight its user projecting the films that come with it. There are fourteen films in all, perfectly organized and protected into their respective original cardboard boxes. This domestic projector is almost a vintage toy, designed to make the families enjoy with its ingenuous films. All the projectors parts and pieces are original and very well preserved, and they can be changed, adjusted and operated without any proble. The projector is complete and comes with its original lens. On the side door (designed to open the device a put the oil lamp into it) there is a stamp engraved in the metal: a logo with the brand (BING) and the inscription INT. TRADE MARK - MADE IN GERMANY . This wonderful projector is surely a great acquisition for any lover of cinemas early times, a real find for any expert in antiques related to seventh art. Measurements: 380 mm length x 370 mm height.
