Original Kodak 8 mm projector made in the 1960s.This device is in very good condition and working order, and can project 16 or 24 frames per second onwards and backwards. Small in size, the projector is a Kodak Brownie: a usable and light design which has three front rotating lenses. These lenses can rotate to make the projection easier, with no need to change them manually. The projector is made of silvery metal with its sides covered by plastic material simulating leather. It is in quite good condition. At the projectors front side, just under the central lens we can see the name of the model: Brownie, printed in red and making an elegant signature. Just under this word we can see the switch designed to turn the projector on and off. The name of the manufacturing company, Kodak, can also be seen at the top, in white lettering printed into a red circle. On top of the device there are two sights made of methacrylate, with three concentric squares in green, yellow and blue printed on each one. These two sights can be lifted or folded down when the projector is not in use. Kodak Brownie projectors are quite rare pieces, full of charm and with a solid, elegant and simple design. Brownie name was chosen by Kodak firm to launch a series of photographic cameras, projectors and film cameras; the first models appeared in 1900. These products were really revolutionary as they let the users take the first snapshots in history; this concept (snapshot) is closely related to Brownie cameras. This projector is surely a historical piece, full of interest and the ideal piece for a good collection of vintage cameras. Measurements: 185 mm lenght x 130 mm hight (sights up).
