Leica cameras are real icons of photojournalism, having been used to photograph some of the most important historical events of the 20th century. Photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson or Robert Capa, among others equally prestigious, took their most relevant photographs using a Leica. The name Leica is an acronym of the manufacturer of optic material and instrument that developed (and still makes) these cameras: Leitz Camera. This amazing set is made up of a Leica IIIc camera, three objectives with their respective leather cases, a rangefinder, three filters and a foldable viewer, all of them made by Leitz. The cameras serial number is 492890 and it comes with the following objectives: Summaron 3,5/53. All these pieces have the name of the maker, Leitz, printed in the metal. The camera and the objectives come with their original leather cases, and both the items and the cases are in wonderful conditions. The three filters are stored in a cardboard box, and one of them comes into a square transparent plastic case with the name Leica engraved in the lid. This particular model, Leica IIIc, is one versión of Leica III camera. Such models were developed at the end of Oskar Barnacks days, who was the original designer of Leica cameras. So this piece was part of the last cameras designed under Barnacks direction. This model is quite attention-grabbing because of its excellent condition and working order. Both the camera and the lovely reddish brown leather case look great, as if time had not passed since they were made. This Leica set will surely be highly appreciated by any photo enthusiast or good collector of classical cameras.
