Antique brown Peter Pan travel gramophone or phonograph made in the 1920s and in good working order. The box which contains this curious device is covered by light-brown leatherette, quite a rare feature, since the most common color is black, with other colors being rarer.. This is a small-sized portable gramophone, finely preserved and in great working order – it can be perfectly used to play gramphone records. This model was also known as ‘cameraphone’ for its similitude with old-time cameras when folded. They were produced by the Peter Pan Gramophone Ltd. Of London, though motors were manufactured by Thorens, Switzerland. The reproducer of this gramophone shows the printed name of this company, together with the inscription SWISS MADE. The box also has a riveted white plate with the PETER PAN brand name and a French inscription about patents. The gramophone looks really fine, with the covering in good condition (except for some unimportant signs of wear at some corners) and shiny and polished metal component parts.

This evocative and antique brown Peter Pan travel gramophone is a rare and fine-looking piece, of remarkable interest for collectors or lovers of turn-of-the-century music devices.
