Authentic Plate of the Order of Military Merit Red Category with Pension Rights in storing case, original from the time of the Spanish king Alphonse 13th (circa 1915). This medal, very rare and exclusive, was awarded to General Manuel Manso Rozas. It was only awarded in times of war and always for important military merits. So this means that it is a medal with high historic and military relevance. The white bands over the crosss red arms indicate that the medal was accompanied by a lifetime pension, provided by the State. The plate is made of gilt silver and red, white, gold and navy blue enamel. At the center there is a circle with the symbols of the Reigns of Castile, León and Granada, and the coat of arms of the House of Borbón-Anjou. Between the arms we can see four fleur-de-lys, and framing the piece, a display of silver-plated sunrays. The plate comes in its original storing case, finely preserved. This prestigious Plate to the Military Merit Red with Pension Rights deserves an honor place in the best collection of wartime awards, for its high historic relevance and excellent condition. Dimensions: 3.14 in / 80 mm.
