Collection of 12 Antique Full Color Autochromes. France, 1910-1936

Rare collection of 13 antique autochrome glass plates in good condition and original from the period. The plates were taken in different dates between 1910 and 1936. They come from France and some bear handwritten inscriptions with the name of the portrayed place. The plates are colored by hand with a system developed and patented by the Lumière brothers in 1903. This technique makes it possible to achieve realistic full-color images with great shades and tones. The Autochrome Stereoviews that we can see in these images are a good example of the great results obtained: they show images of parks and gardens with colorful flowers, trees, fields These pieces, rare and very sought-after, are full of nostalgia and charm. For their quality and beauty, these rare Autochrome Stereoviews deserve to be included in the archive of a great museum of photography. Measurements: 60 x 130 mm.
