Fascinating set of 100 stereoscopic glass plates made in France in the early 20th century. The set is composed of six cardboard boxes with a group of plates each. There are black-and-white and sepia-toned images which show landscapes, scenes and monuments of iconic French places. The plates are numbered and come with three paper lists with the titles of each plate; they are taken in Lourdes, Versailles and Paris at night. There is another set of images depicting alpine landscapes. The plates are in very good condition and can be easily watched with a stereoscopic viewer. The boxes are the original ones and are quite well preserved, with handwritten labels describing their content. These turn-of-the-century stereoscopic plates are a real find for any lover of antique photographs. Measurements: 45 x 107 mm.
