Amazing antique minute repeater pocket watch, made in Switzerland circa 1900 and in excellent condition. This is a quality piece, with 18k gold case and in very good working order. The gold case is finely preserved, with no visible dents or flaws, and bears guilloche decoration at the front and rear caps. The front cap has a beautiful central shield, framed by flowery garlands, which invites the owner to put there his initials. The dial has black Arabic numerals and cobalt-blue pear-style (poire) hands, with the inscription CRONÓMETRO REPETICIÓN ‘FIX’ at the 12 position and the name EL TRUST MADRID over the secondary hand. This name corresponds to Fix Watch Co.- “El Trust” Madrid, a Swiss company which made watches for the Spanish market. Inside the front cap we find the Swiss gold hallmark, the 18K gold mark and the serial number 146985. These marks can also be appreciated in the rear cap and the dustcap, in whose front side were once engraved a series of medals (the prizes awarded to the maker) and the inscription CRONÓMETRO REPETICIÓN 1ª CLASE –FIX WATCH CO. – ÚNICO DEPÓSITO EN ESPAÑA “EL TRUST” MADRID. The delicate movement protected by this cap is in great condition, having been checked and adjusted in order to guarantee a great performance.
