Fine Philips loudspeaker made of baquelite and dated in the 1930s. This is an authentic article, original from the time and remaining in good condition and great working order. The speaker is entirely made of faux-tortoiseshell baquelite, a hard and sturdy material that was profusely used to make all kind of items during a great part of the 20th century, before the invention of plastic. The object that we can see in the images boasts a deep and profound color that mixes dark red with bright red. The triangular foot is made of black baquelite. The loudspeakers edge shows a small dent that scarcely interferes with the devices beautiful look. The bakelite surface has been varnished in years after its manufacture and didn't do a good job, although it can be restored and perfected. The wire and the inner mechanism are also in good condition and fine working order.
