Very rare Austrian Schaeffler telegraphic printer, made in Wien in 1870 and with a remarkable interest for collectors. This is quite an uncommon and difficult-to-find model, and in very good condition too. The mechanism works really fine, though the electrical wiring has not been tested. The printer stands on a sturdy solid-oak wooden base, quite thick and with fine beveled edges. It is entirely made of brass and preserves all its original component parts and elements. The metal base shows the manufacturers name and citi, SCHAEFFLER WIEN, engraved in the surface. The paper reel is almost complete, while the rest of the pieces (the stylus, the adjusting screws) are finely preserved and move fluidly. As exceptional as attractive, this rare Austrian Schaeffler telegraphic printer is a really charismatic piece, perfect to stand out in a study, a living room or a showcase.
