Dimensions: Diameter: 40 mm. Sandoz Watches History In 1985, the Swiss watchmaker Henry Sandoz acquires the Odin Watch Factory, founded in 1870 by the Lausseur family in Neuchâtel. In 1924 they start manufacturing their first wristwatches; six years after Henrys son, Hermann, enters the business. The company is renamed Henry Sandoz & Fils. In 1919 the family sells the original Factory and builds a new and bigger one in La Chaux-de-Fonds, which starts working in 1926. In those years the company is producing watches under the brands Sandoz and Odin, and two new brand names are added: Crusader and Henry Sandoz & Fils. In 1958 a new factory is built and business keeps growing. The brand specializes in ultra-thin watches and in 1955 they launch the thinnest watch in the world, the HFS 55. In 1970 Sandoz becomes part of the Société Des Garde-Temps SA.
