Antique Otto Teichgräber microscope made in Germany circa 1920, with a set of objectives and eyepieces and original storing case. This instrument is in very good condition and preserves all its original component parts and pieces. It is also in great working order: the rack-and-pinion system moves smoothly, just like the rest of the adjustments, making it possible to use the microscope to watch samples. It mounts a three-lens revolving nosepiece and a brass and chrome-plate metal top part. The brass is protected by the original transparent protecting lacquer which provides the metal with an unmistakable old-time patina. The microscope is mounted on a black-enameled metal horseshoe foot; the enameled finish is in superb condition, shiny and even like the first day of use. The turret bears the manufacturers name and the serial number engraved on its front side: Otto Teichgräber Berlin 4568. The storing case is the original one, made of solid beech wood and in optimal condition. It has a metal nameplate inside and preserves the lock and key in working order. This antique Otto Teichgräber microscope is a true old-time scientific instrument, a high-quality piece perfect to become part of the most complete collection. Dimensions: Width: 4.72 in / 12 cm. Depth: 6.3 in / 16 cm. Height: 14.17 in / 36 cm.
