Antique Spanish Valero Jun Zaragoza navaja, folding knife or pocketknife, 15.94 inches long, coming from Spain and made in the 19th century. This is a really beautiful item, with light-colored horn side plates and delicate brass details. The horn plates are attached to the handle with solid brass rivets, some of them shaped like flowers. The handles shape is also beautiful, with a series of symmetrical curves which improve the grip. At the point where the handle connects the blade we can see a fine brass piece shaped like a crown, a fine decorative detail. The steel blade is long and straight; though it shows logical signs of the trace of time and use, today it still preserves its imposing and superb presence. Valero Jun was a cutlery and hardware store which was active in Zaragoza, Spain between 1861 and 1882 approximately. They would buy quality pocketknives from France and marked them with the business name in order to sell them. Any collector of old-time knives will long to own this antique Valero Jun Zaragoza pocketknife, 15.94 inches long, a really amazing piece. Dimensions: Length: Closed: 8.66 in / 22 cm.
