Complete set of eight antique books published in Germany in the 19th century. The books are professional handbooks about microscopy, all of them written by doctors and scientists. The set contains seven books with artisanal fabric or marbled-paper hard covers, and a handbook with paper cover. The set is composed of the following books: Zeitschrift für Mikroskopie. Dr. Eduard Kaiser. 1877-78 Die Methoden für Bakterien-Forschung. Dr. Ferdinand Hueppe. 1886. Microscopische Technik. Dr. Carl Friedlaender. 1884. Das Mikroskop und Sein Gebraucht für den Artz. Dr. Hermann Reinhard. 1864. Die Mikroskopie der Teschnisch Werwendeten Faserstoffe. Cursus der Normalen Histologie. Dr. Johannes Orth. 1884. Der Pratische Mikroskopie. H. Blucher. 1898. The paper cover of the book Der Pratische Mikroskopie is somewhat worn because of the great fragility of the material. Nevertheless is still complete and preserves the front and the back covers. The rest of the handbooks are in good condition and the complete information they contain is quite remarkable, and so are their gorgeous and detailed illustrations. The engravings appearing in the book Die Methoden für Bakterien-Forschung are especially beautiful, beautifully made and colored. Every lover of antique books will find a real treasure in this set of handbooks, so evocative and with a very special charm.
