Extraordinary Bound Collection of Branded Magazines. Season 1944-45

Fascinating bound and hardback collection of magazines, published by Spanish Marca newspaper between 1944 and 19445. This is an original publication and the collected magazines are in excellent condition. The collection contains a great number of antique magazines, bound in blue-leather hard covers and with blue-fabric-covered spine. The binding is in general good condition and shows only very slight signs of wear. The book contains the supplements published by the sports newspaper in those years, all of them about the happenings and events that took place in the Spanish sports world of the period. Most of the information is about football, mainly the Spanish League, though there are also pages with information about ski, shooting, horse riding, cycling) and even special pages dedicated to the cinema under the header Celluloid. We can see the cover pages, the news, the photographs and the advertising pages. The covers are full color and the contents are printed in black and white, as was usual in the Spanish publications of the time. This collection includes reviews, news and reports about the Spanish football team of those years. We can read information about historic teams such as the Atlético de Aviación (currently Atlético de Madrid), the Bilbao Athletic Club, the Español The magnificent design of some of the covers, with great images drawn by hand, is powerfully remarkable. So are the lovely vintage advertisements that can be found in some pages. As interesting as beautiful, this striking collection of magazines will delight all lovers of the Spanish sports history.
