We introduce the interesting volume designed to show the maps belonging to the work, this one being separated into ten sections entitled "History of the French Revolution" from Adolphe Thiers. It includes a series of 33 detailed pictures or letters of 33 cm long and 20.5 cm width that are double-page displayed, made by Ch. Dyonnet under the supervision of the geographer Th. Duvotenay , and referring to France and its influence at the time of the French Revolution. The image or "Carte du Theatre de la Guerre pour l'intelligence serve the campagne from 1796, is really interested. The cuts of the book are blank, with the forward on flute. The plank-type covers are protected by paper and are completed mottled in shades of lilac and brown. The covers are of brown paste in four nerves and the title and decoration in gold: "Thiers. Revolution Francaise. Atlas. " The internal document is totally tight and firm, as a product of a secure binding. The pages show huge whiteness and are totally free of traces of deterioration and oxidation. There is no trace of the influence of humidity. The book is therefore in a very good state of preservation. Adolphe Thiers (1797 - 1877), French historian and politician, was several times prime minister under King Louis-Philippe of France. After the falling of the Second Empire, he became president of the French Third Republic, ordering the suppression of the Paris Commune in 1871. From 1871 to 1873 he worked as a provisional president. After a vote of non-confidence in the National Assembly, he presented his offer of resignation and it was accepted, (he had expected a rejection) he was forced to leave. Although he studied laws at the Faculty in Aix-en-Provence, he didnt like them, however he enjoyed literature. In the fall of 1821 Thiers went to Paris and soon became editor of the newspaper Constitutionnel. In the years immediately after his arrival in Paris, he collected and published a volume of his articles, the first on the salon of 1822, the second on a trip to the Pyrenees. Meanwhile he began to be recognized in the liberal society of Paris, and began his famous Histoire de la revolution française, which established him as a writer and pushed his political fame. The first two volumes appeared in 1823, and the last two (of ten) in 1827. In 1833, Thiers was named a member of the French Academy.Book Size: 27cm by 22 cm and 2.5 cm thick.
