The Admirable History of Don Quixote in 6 volumes, in the 1771 edition, eighteenth century, and published by the Compagnie des Libraires Paris. In very good condition, with obvious management, contains around 3 or 4 recorded by volume. Both covers the spine are lined paper. The paper covers are light ocher with dark brown small stampings. The back, a sailor, which are stamped in gold both the title of the work and the number of each volume. Each volume presents nerves, strong binding and interior in good condition, no humidity, with very slight, almost imperceptible, oxidations. Bookmark the simple facade on the cover. This is the second translation of the famous book Don Quixote French, although it is the first time that it is performed in its entirety, since before his translation was divided into two parts (César Oudin, in 1614, and Francois de Rosset, 1618). The version offered corresponds to the translation of Saint-Martin Filleau did in 1677-1678. Commissioned by the Parisian publisher Barbin, Filleau Saint Martin translated from Spanish into French the famous work of Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, published in 1677, in four volumes. However, altered the end of the work for which Don Quixote instead of dying, he recovered from his illness, and then Filleau Saint Martin French wrote a sequel, titled admirable History of Don Quixote of La Mancha. This work was unfinished at his death, and was continued in the early eighteenth century by Robert Challe. Measurements of each volume: 17 cm high, 10.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm thick.
