This beautiful vintage calculator, in amazing condition and working like new, is a Brunsviga 13 RK. This model was very popular at the time and was commercialized in different parts of Europe. It is a pinwheel calculator that provides a smooth and fluid operation and can perform the four basic arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The excellent condition of the hammered light golden enamel that covers the machine is very remarkable. The elegant cursive numbers engraved in the metal are painted dark brown and the digit levers boast a lovely shiny coppery finish, making up an aesthetically insuperable overall. The Brunsviga 13 RK is one of the most famous calculating machines made in the first half of the 20th century. Brunsviga started in 1900 under the name of Grimme, Natalis & Co. A.G. It was then when the company acquired Odhner calculators patent rights and started manufacturing them under the Brunsviga market name. Brunsviga calculators became so popular that the company eventually changed its name for it. In 1959 the firm merged with German typewriter manufacturer Olympia Werke. The calculator we can see in these images is, then, one of the lasts models launched by the company. This lovely machine keeps all its silvery metal mobile parts in optimal condition. The dark red bakelite markers, knobs and handles are also original. At the front side of the calculator we can see the brand logo printed on a metal triangle attached to the left of the digit levers. At the bottom, to the left of the reset knob we can see the company data engraved in the metal; they are also printed on a metal plate screwed to the back. At the calculators base there is a metal plate with the engraved serial number 13-67058 and another one with the models name printed in black lettering.Any lover of vintage and quality calculating machines will long to own this Brunsviga 13 RK, a machine perfect to decorate the most elegant study.Measurements: Width: 300 mm.
