Amazing Triumphator pinwheel calculator made in Germany in the 1930s. This iconic calculating macnine, in very good condition and perfect working order, is a real milestone of the early 20th century industrial design. The calculator has black-enameled metal sheet case with white a red digits and silvery metal mobile parts. All the machines component parts are original from the time and work fine, letting the user perform the four basic arithmetic operation fluidly and efficiently. At the top left corner of the calculator we can see the TRIUMPHATOR logo clearly engraved and painted white. Triumphator GmbH was a German company founded to produce calculating machines similar to the one designed by W.T. Odner in the 1870s. This design was in turn inspired in Leibnizs arithmometer. Triumphator was founded in 1907 by two engineers named Soll and Holzapfel they developed many improvements and their calculators became very popular for their solidity and good performance. Triumphator calculators kept on being produced until 1965. This lovely machine preserves the black enamel that protects the metal case in very good condition: it looks shiny and even. The digits and the decals are also clear and bright. The chromed-metal component parts are slightly rusted in some parts, something logical if consider that this calculator has been used for decades. At the back we can see the white-enameled serial number 95010 engraved in the metal. The functionality of its design and its great antique look turn this Triumphator calculator into a very interesting piece that will stand out in the best collection of office antiques.
