Nostalgic antique adding machine made in Michigan, USA circa 1920, in good condition and great working order. The calculator was made by Burroughs and is model 5. The history of the Burroughs Adding Machine Company started in 1886, when the American Arithmometer Company was founded in St. Louis. It was created to manufacture the adding machines invented by William S. Burroughs. One year later, the company was renamed after the inventor. The calculator that we can see in the images mounts a wonderful metal mechanism covered by a removable black-enameled metal case. The keyboard is composed of black and white pieces. All the component parts are original and work wonderfully. At the machines base we can see the engraved serial number 5-1120846.Fine-looking and with a great personality, this antique calculator will delight any enthusiast of antique machines.
