Antique Lindström-Record keyboard mechanical calculator, in good condition and in working order. This calculator is an antique model, made in Germany in 1915. The piece has survived to our days quite well preserved and today it still can be used to perform the four basic arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It works with a keyboard mechanism. This Calculator preserves all its original component parts and pieces in great condition; they all show a fluid and soft operation. The first Record calculator was designed by Hugo Cordt. The first models were sold in Germany under the Tasten-Universal Rechenmaschine name and were manufactured by the Nordenhammer Rechenmaschinen A.G. in Oldenburg. In 1914, production was assumed by the Rechenmaschinen Fabrik, H. Ohlmann & Company, also located in Oldenburg, which then moved to Berlin. The last manufacturer of the Record model (the one that made the calculator that we can see in these photographs) was Karl Lindström; hence its commercial name. The machine has nine rows of numbered keys, each with nine digits from 1 to 9. To the left of the keys, a small golden metal plate shows an engraved inscription with the name of the French distributor (Establishements G. DAVID Machines a Calculer). The machine has a matt black-enameled metal body with chrome-plated metal mobile parts. One of these parts bears the machines serial number engraved in its surface: 6897.
