Gorgeous Triumphator H3 pinwheel calculator, original from the period and in working order. This is an iconic model made in Germany in 1929 that has survived to our days in very good condition. The calculator can perform the four basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) with fully reliable results. It preserves all its original component parts, in good condition too and with no traces of wear. This is quite a decorative piece whose ancient age turns it into a collection item. The calculator bears the Triumphator logo engraved at the front right corner. The logo is painted white and is clearly visible. The Triumphator GmbH was a German company that manufactured arithmometers and mechanical calculators. Founded in 1907 by Soll and Holzapfel, they acquired the Odhner calculator patent and developed many improvements on the original design. In 1912, the Triumphator patents were acquired by Boleslaus Benas. During a great part of the 20th century and until 1965, Triumphator calculators were a real sales success. The machine that we can see in these images has a black-enameled metal case with engraved numbers painted in white and red. The enameled finish is in good condition and only shows a very slight wear, due to the trace of time, which exudes authenticity. At the front side on the calculator, just on the left bottom corner we can see an engraved inscription: Importé dAlemagne. On the other hand, at one of the machines sides there is a silvery metal piece with the serial number 73763, clearly engraved. Its decorative power and antique charm turn this Triumphator calculator into a piece worthy of a technology museum.
