Imposing Triumphator C pinwheel calculator with wooden base and mechanical mechanism. This machine works very well, as it has been fully checked and fine-tuned in order to guarantee an optimal operation. The calculator bears a black-enameled finish with white numbers and symbols, that have been repainted; both pains are amazingly well preserved and turn the machine into a really decorative piece. The mobile component parts are made of silvery metal, and to the left we can also see some black bakelite pieces. The outer metal case that protects the mechanism bears the engraved Triumphator C, also painted white. The Triumphator GmbH was a calculator factory created by Soll and Holzapfel to commercialize the machines designed by them from the original design bt W.T. Odhner. In 1912 the firm was acquired by Boleslaus Benas, who kept on producing quality calculators with many innovations. Triumphator calculating machines are renowned for the improvements implemented through the years such as the top boxes where the user can see the numbers marked and so the possibility of error is considerably reduced. This lovely machine stands on its original solid oak wooden base. At the back of the machine we find the remains of an ancient sticker where the brand and company name can still be seen, printed in old-style lettering. Nostalgic and singular, this Triumphator calculator is a first-class article for a great collection of antique office machines.
