It is revised and in perfect working order. This type of machines are objects for science lovers. They have their origin back in the XVII century, when the first adding machines were built, characterized by using a gear-based operation, which arose to alleviate the work activity of those people engaged in accounting work. This type of machines were already much admired at the time, based on a system devised by Willigodt Odhner, the variant of the one developed by Leibniz in the 18th century. The house Brunsviga manufactured from 1892 calculators under Odhner's licenses. Its engineer Trinks began to greatly improve the original design from this machine, highlighting the fineness of operation, its finishes with ivory scrollers and the new anti-blocking controls incorporated. This German model of calculating machines was produced since 1906 and was known as the "windlass calculator". It is amazing to see the internal complexity of one of these mechanisms, and the smoothness and precision with which they work. Undoubtedly a small work of precision engineering art.
