This type of machines are objects for science lovers. They have their origin back in the XVII century, when the first adding machines were built, characterized by using a gear-based operation, which arise to alleviate the work activity of those people engaged in accounting work. This type of machines were already much admired at the time, based on a system devised by Willigodt Odhner, the variant of the one developed by Leibniz in the 18th century. The house Brunsviga manufactured from 1892 calculators under Odhner's licenses. Its engineer Trinks began to greatly improve the original design from this machine, highlighting the fineness of its operation. Successive models would be developed, expanding the technical features and adapting to the functional needs of society as time and technology progressed. In the post-war period, these devices would be applied for the first time in industrial design, developing technologically advanced models at high prices. It is surprising to see the internal complexity of one of these mechanisms, and the smoothness and precision with which they work. A true museum piece for its aesthetic conditions and its perfect state of preservation.
