Beautiful Curta II Calculator. Years 50's. Working Perfectly.

Original Curta II calculator of cylindrical shape, which is a real collector's item. Its curious shape and aesthetic appeal are attached to the fact that it works perfectly, being a subject full of charm, a symbol of the evolution of technology from the past. The calculator was made in the 50's of XX century by Curta brand. It is in good condition except some minor damage on the paint, also preserving the original metal box with the logo of the firm.The ingenious system of calculation, based on slots and a crank, is one more feature of this delicate machine. At the base of the calculator there is a black plate with an inscription that reads: Type II - No. 523678 - Made in Liechtenstein - (Customs Union With Switzerland) - By Contina Ltd. Mauren - System Curtze Hertzstark. In this inscription we find the serial number and name of the inventor of the system. In addition, the upper crown retains the numbering in perfect condition.The barrel has some lacks of the original finish, while the metal case in black lacquer displays small scratches, and some slight damage on the label with the name of the firm. However, they are just normal details that talk about the many hours of use, speaking of the life and use of the object. This calculator is a great example of the 50s decade technology, constituting an antique full of aesthetic and functional charm.
