This machine works in a very simple way. Each calculator lets the user make different operations (i. e., we can sum with one of them and subtract with the other) and the results appear with just one turn of the crank. So the user can save a lot of time with this calculator. This model is a Brunsviga Doppler D13 R-1 and is in perfect condition. The grey enamel which covers both machines is very well preserved, and so are the silvery metal gears and the red bakelite parts. The calculator is impeccable and works like new. At the centre of the piece we can see the name of the brand, Brunsviga, in red and white bakelite letters. At the rear, on the left side there is a metal plate attached to the machine which shows the following inscription: Olympia Werke AG Brunsviga Werke Braunschweig Made in Germany. If we turn this calculator upside down we will find two small metal plates: one of them shows an engraved number (probably the serial number, 34-111413), while in the other one we can read the model: Brunsviga D13 R-1. The calculator comes with the original leaflet, written in German, with the description of the model and the instructions telling how it works. In essence, this is a rare piece reserved for the best collection of vintage machines. Measurements: 480 mm width x 170 mm height.
