Golden Facit calculator with keyboard input made in the 1930s. This is an exceptional vintage piece which joins its excellent condition with its perfect working order, fluid and soft. The machine works like new. The first Facit calculator was an Odhner-type machine and came out in 1918. The manufacturing firm belonged to Axel Wibel and was located in Stockholm. In 1934 was taken over by Åtvidaberg Industries. Later, the company adopted the Facit name for all its products. This particular calculator is a hand-cranked model with keyboard input, similar to Facit Model T. This beautiful calculating machine is especially remarkable because of its striking look. The front is completely made of polished golden brass, soft and shiny. The calculators body is made of black-lacquered wood, fully restored and in great condition. The machine has also some silvery metal and bakelite parts, such as the crank for the results and the base. All the components have scarcely been touched by the trace of time, so this calculator has come to us in an excellent condition. The keyboard reminds us of vintage typewriters. It has black keys with white numbers from 0 to 9, as well as two red keys to go frontwards and backwards and a red key to select the Division mode. Over the keyboard there are three windows: the bottom one show the numbers that are being pressed, while the top ones show the results which appear when the user turns the crank. The great working order of the machine and its refined look turn it into a wonderful vintage piece, highly exclusive and decorative. Measurements: 300 mm width x 140 mm height.
