Striking German Brunsviga calculator model MH, dating from 1923. This fine machine is in perfect working order, and it can perform different operations just like the first day of use. The calculator comes with its original protecting cover and locking key, which increases its interest and value. This is a fine vintage article with many years of age and use, which boasts a nive classical desing. Brunsviga calculators started being produced under that name when in 1892, Grimme, Natalis and Co. brand (Braunchsweig, Germany) got the German patent of Odhner pinwheel calculator. From then on they began manufacturing calculating machines under the name Brunsviga, and they continued doing so till the early 1970s. This particular model seats on a wooden plank painted black, which is designed to be connected to the cover so the machine is perfectly protected. The wooden has lost part of its finish, but is a slight detail that can be easily restored by a good professional. The machine is in excellent condition, with its shiny and regular black lacquered finish and all its parts well polished with no signs of pitting. The white inscriptions are also neat and legible. At the top of the machine we can read the following words: Brunsviga - System Trinks, while in the central part there is a patent symbol on the left and the abbreviations of the operations performed by the calculator on the right. At the bottom we can see the name and address of the manufacturing company on the right (this information can also be seen at the rear), and on the left we can see the serial number: 64350. This vintage calculator is surely a very well preserved testimony of the old times, and undoubtedly deserves to become part of a museum or a great private collection. Measurements: 280 mm width x 165 mm height (with base and cover).
