Fine German Brunsviga calculator, a real classic in the field of calculating machines from the early 20th century. This is the model MH, dates from 1923 and is in great condition and perfect working order. This is a Brunsviga System Trinsk calculator that keeps its original solid wooden base and also the protecting cover. The cover has the original lock and key and event the handle designed to carry the calculator. The machine is black-lacquered and bears several inscriptions in white lettering. It keeps all its original parts, gears and knobs, all of them made of polished silvery metal. At the top we can see the following inscription: BRUNSVIGA SYSTEM TRINKS, and on the left side there is a circular logo with the legend PATENT. Under the numbers and gears, on the right side we can see the name and city of the manufacturing company: GRIMME, NATALIS & CO. AKTIENGELLENSCHAFT BRAUNSWEIGHT. This inscription appears again at the rear of the calculator. The protecting cover also bears the inscription TRINKS BRUNSVIGA printed in attractive orange capital letters on a black background. It is completely covered by a black material, which is somewhat worn at the right top. Anyway, the cover keeps all the charm of truly original pieces. System Trinks corresponds to Franz Trinks name; he was an engineer and technical director of German company Grimme, Natalis & Co. In 1892 the factory was given the concession of Odhner calculators for Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, and from then on the firm developed Brunsviga calculators and launched them in these countries. These machines became very popular thanks to their efficiency and affordable price.
