Wonderful Brunsviga 13ZK calculator made in 1930. This machine was manufactured in Germany by Grimme, Natalis and Co. from Braunschweig. The piece is in excellent condition, as attractive as the first day of use and in perfect working order. This model was made in 1930, but the company Grimme, Natalis and Co. obtained the German patent rights to the Odhner calculator (with pinwheel system) in 1892 and started produced this kind of machines under the Brunsviga name. The firm designed and commercialized many models until the early 1970s, when finally ended the production. Brunsviga 13 calculator was launched in 1926 improving the Brunsviga Nova design. From then on several models further types in the series appeared such as the 13Z, the 13ZK, the 13P and the 13M, known as a war-machine probably because of a commercial battle and also the war that was to come. The model that we can see in the photographs is very interesting for many reasons: it comes with an instruction leaflet, written in German and illustrated with beautiful etchings which depict two models of the series. On the other hand, the calculator can perform different arithmetical operations just like new and is in very good condition. Both the black lacquer and the engraved and white-enameled inscriptions look wonderful. At the front left side, just under the number and the levers we can see the name and model of the calculator: BRUNSVIGA 13ZK, accompanied by the serial number 210524. To the right rests the name of the manufacturing company and the city where it was located. The name Brunsviga is printed again to the left, just by the levers. All the components, both metallic and made of bakelite, are in excellent condition and totally operative. This fine calculators high aesthetical attractive joins its old age and perfect working order to make up a really exclusive piece which any inured collector will surely appreciate as it deserves.
