Lovely and delicate Chinese hand-painted porcelain bowl with white background and colorful figures adorning its outside. The bowl is in good condition, and it only shows a small dent at the edge. Otherwise is very well preserved and the colorful decoration is as bright and shiny as when this porcelain piece was originally fired. As stated before, this bowl is decorated with nine figures dressed in traditional clothes. They are all very well drawn and painted, looking highly realistic thanks to their facial expressions and lively movements. Almost all of them are smiling or talking, and their elegant hands are almost as expressive as their faces. Their clothes are full of color and have been painted with blue, pink, yellow, green and orange tones. The color zones are surrounded by slim and delicate black strokes, while the faces and hands are outlined in red. Between each pair of figures there is a name written in Chinese, performed with firm black strokes. The bowl is only decorated outside; inside we can just appreciate the immaculate white porcelain. If we turn it upside down we will find the Guangxu mark (1873-1908) printed at the base. This was the name of a Chinese Qing Dynasty emperor who preceded PuYi, the dignitary that was best known as The Last Emperor. In essence the ancient age, the good condition and the intrinsic beauty of this lovely Chese porcelain bowl turn it into a very attractive piece.Medidas: Ancho: 160 mm. Alto: 70 mm.
